Hands-On Day (In-Person)

You’ll train in our Columbus classroom for one hands-on day focused on spray tanning technique, consistency, and client experience. Expect live demos, guided practice, real-time corrections, and standards-based feedback so you can deliver even results and confident appointments.

What you’ll do in class:

· Consultation + shade matching for different skin tones/goals

· Prep routine + barrier placement for clean, even results

· Spray gun setup + solution handling for consistent application

· Technique fundamentals: distance, speed, passes + blending

· Hands/feet/knuckles fixes + avoiding common “hot spots”

· Dry time + aftercare that improves results + reduces complaints

· Room/booth setup, sanitation, and appointment workflow

· Troubleshooting: streaks, uneven fade, orange tones, and patchiness

· Instructor demo + guided practice with live models

· Photo + content tips for marketing (before/after lighting + angles)

Complete your self-guided theory + pass your exam before your hands-on days. You’ll also have a clear submission process (practice + check-ins) to support you after earning your certification.

• You provide your own models. Students from out of state qualify for model assistance upon request.
